David Roger's Big Bugs Exhibit
Through July 13

Huntsville Botanical Gardens - Exhibit includes three 25-foot long gigantic ants crawling
through the meadow; a 1200 pound, 18-foot tall praying mantis near the Aquatic Garden; a
17-foot long red cedar dragonfly; a 7-foot long assassin bug and other gargantuan insects.
Lurking throughout the Garden, these gigantic bug sculptures are created from natural
materials such as trees, twigs, green cut saplings, dry branches and other native forest
materials. Special planting vignettes will surround the giant creatures, making them look
right at home in North Alabama. Look for insect topiaries, too, including ladybugs, crickets,
snails, dragonflies, and bees, created by the Garden horticulture staff.
