Exhibition for Youth Art Month - This year marks the 23rd annual Youth Art Month
(YAM) exhibition of student artwork on view in the Grisham Gallery at the Huntsville Museum
of Art on Church St. This exhibition showcases nearly 200 exuberant works of art by youth in
kindergarten through grade 12 from Huntsville City, Madison City, Madison County, Athens
City, Limestone County, Decatur City, and Scottsboro City schools. (Also on display in the
Beck Meeting Room from March 7-14 is the Visual Arts Achievement Program (VAA)
Alabama’s District V). 17 Blue Ribbon Finalists of middle and high school works of art will be
displayed.

Tremendous Treehouses - The Huntsville Botanical Garden, Bob Wallace Avenue,
proudly brings back Tremendous Treehouses as its' 2010 Spring/Summer Exhibit. Play,
climb and swing your way through fun, interactive hand-crafted tree houses for kids of all
ages. Explore a real log cabin in “Knotty Place,” get a feel for the old days at “Trading Post”
or swing and slide until your heart’s content at “Relaxation Station.” Over eleven

Huntsville. Local artists and others are invited to set up a booth at the Flying Monkey Arts
Center and sell their wares to the public. There will be art, jewelry, vintage clothing, records,
and more interesting things for sale inside our facility - safe from rain.
March 8
Rainbow Mountain Go Hike - FREE! 10 am. Avid hiker & Land Trust staff member Kim
Arnold, with her famous dog, Sparky, will take the lead on this fast paced hike that will be a
true aerobic exercise. If it rains the day before, participants are asked to meet at Weatherly

Mischief & Mayhem Walking Tour - A new tour departing each Saturday morning March
- May, at 10 am from in front of Constitution Village. Local historians Rhonda Ford and
Jacque Reeves will thoroughly entertain you with information (some scandalous) about
Huntsville history you do not normally get on other tours.
Dixie Derby Girls Dodgeball Tournament - Admission. Noon. Lowe Mill Arts &

Dodgeball Tournament. Dust off those balls, get your team together, and join the mayhem!
Sophie Milman in Concert (Decatur) - Admission. Princess Theatre. Toronto based
jazz singer Sophie Milman makes a significant leap currently on her third album, taking
familiar songs into new territories and branching out by bringing pop songs into jazz
repertoire. The Canadian singer performed around the globe landmarks venues like the
Hollywood Bowl, the Kennedy Center and New York’s Note club, sharing stages with the likes
of Chick Corea, Chris Botti, and the Manhattan Transfer. Her second album “Make
Someone Happy” won the Juno Award for Jazz Vocal Album of the Year.

Maple Hill Cemetery Tour - Admission. 2 pm every Sunday. Maple Hill Cemetery is a
treasury of Huntsville’s historic past. Burials date to the early 1800's and this sacred ground
serves as the final resting place to many people who shaped Alabama’s future. Jacque'
Reeves will take you on a walking tour that reveals the many fascinating, and mostly
forgotten, stories behind these people, as well as the headstones that are true works of art.
The Maple Hill Cemetery Tour will begin on Wells Avenue near the steps to the Unknown
Confederate Soldiers. A portion of the ticket sales will go to further restoration of damaged
